The 2022 Annual Budget and Policy statement is published on PayHOA. All members of the association have access to it through PayHOA in the Documents section of the member's Portal.
After you log in, go to Documents > Finance > Annual Budget and Policy Statements. The 2022 Budget and Policy is available there. Additionally, the invoices for next year are being sent out, as well as a summary of the document, and instructions on how to access PayHOA via mail. Please contact us if you have questions. What happened? The old CGEHOA.ORG is now pointing to a new site, and a new engine underneath it. Our old system was a bit clunky, and very limited in how it worked for us. This new site has everything the old site had; documents, news, contact forms, and some great new features! Some members were migrated "automatically"... If you had an account in the old system, we just moved you over to the new system. This allowed us to continue to keep in touch with you, and send you assessments through the system. What is PayHOA? PayHOA allows each of us to keep up to date on our payments and we can pay directly through the system. You can securely connect your bank to PayHOA bill pay, or you can pay via credit card (Just like Amazon). This helps the board keep up with the banking and finance processes, and you get instant feedback that your paid in full! You can pay by check, if you must... But, I'd prefer you to pay online because I'm one person handling all the checks for the HOA. I'd appreciate your support in this small way. We also get great billing, and mailing features that let us keep you informed about all the HOA business. Why We Changed In addition to the added features mentioned above, we wanted to save money. In the past our dues have paid for a management company to manage our business: collect assessments, pay bills, and do some accounting work. We paid a LOT of money for these services. And most of us were not too happy about how much we were paying for those services (or the quality of the services for that matter). So the current board did some research to see if we could do better! We think we've done better. Not only are we paying a small fraction (about 10%) of the amount we were before, but many services are now automated, and we getting financial reporting built into the system! So anytime we need to see how the HOA is doing financially, we can look at our new PayHOA system and see for ourselves. Its great, and it helps the board to be more efficient. Because the board is all volunteer (we don't get paid ...that's illegal) we needed to make things as simple as they could be, without paying a really expensive company that didn't care about our HOA. Additionally, since the new system has been put in place, we've already collected ~$4,000 in past due assessments! We've collected from a few accounts that were past due since before the first, and second management company took over! What's Next? If you have signed up, or were migrated to our new system take some time to review your account, update contact info, and add your mobile phone number (that way you can get text messages too).
If you haven't signed up... Do it today! That way you can benefit from the system, and save some trees too! (Less mail) Joel Cory Treasurer, CGEHOA |
